About Me

Dr. Martinez Sosa obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla, graduating summa cum laude. She earned her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine and is a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her Psychiatry residency training at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she then completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry. She is board certified in adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. 

Dr. Martinez Sosa serves as Acting Assistant Chief of Psychiatry and Psychiatry Residency Site Director at the Miami VA Healthcare System and is an Affiliated Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
